Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a helping profession from an accredited college or university.
• Some prior counseling experience, especially in substance use disorder or mental health treatment, is preferred.
• Must obtain state certifications/licensures within 30 months and obtain DOC clearance for correctional work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client interviews and assessments to review substance use history.
• Evaluate response to treatment and assist with individualized treatment plans and goals.
• Provide group and individual counseling for relapse prevention and pro-social skills.
• Maintain treatment records and ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.
• Perform office duties and support program services as needed.
