Responsibilities include individual and group counseling, psychoeducation, and ensuring accurate documentation to meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degrees in a related field with relevant experience.
• PhD if not related field requires 1 year experience.
• Associate degree requires 4 years of professional experience.
• HS diploma/GED requires 6 years of experience.
• Florida certifications (CAP, CCJAP, CAC) qualify.
• Basic knowledge of human growth and psychosocial development.
• Basic understanding of mental health disorders requiring referrals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client interviews to review substance use disorder and treatment history.
• Evaluate client response to treatment and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Provide didactic group counseling, psychoeducation, and family education.
• Provide individual counseling and address relapse prevention and behavior change.
• Carry caseload under supervision and develop discharge plans for aftercare.
