Alpharus Health is seeking a Substance Use Counselor to provide individual and group counseling in a correctional setting in Garden City, GA. You will conduct interviews, develop treatment plans, and support relapse prevention while coordinating aftercare.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a helping profession, counseling experience in sUD or mental health, and the ability to obtain Georgia DOC clearance. Credentialed staff may receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a helping profession is required.
• Counseling experience and background in substance use disorder or mental health preferred.
• Must obtain state certifications within 30 months of service start.
• Must be able to obtain Georgia Department of Corrections clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct client interviews and assessments for substance use history and treatment.
• Evaluate treatment response and modify plans; manage caseloads and goals.
• Provide group counseling and psychoeducation for relapse prevention and related topics.
• Deliver individual counseling and educational sessions; support behavioral change.
• Maintain caseload up to 25 clients as per state/contract rules.
• Coordinate discharge summaries and aftercare plans with supervisor approval.
• Arrange services to resolve crises and support ongoing recovery.
• Maintain treatment records to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Perform basic office duties including phone handling and intake packet preparation.
