Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Project Manager to be based in New York, NY. The role will operate as a Construction Manager working directly with the NYC SCA on projects related to schools throughout New York City and the surrounding boroughs.

You will lead project administration, coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors, and ensure design, budget, and schedule compliance. Qualifications include a BA/BS with two years of relevant experience; a degree in Engineering/Construction

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus two years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Five (5) years of full-time, progressively responsible work as a technical specialist in construction/design fields; two years must involve managing all phases of construction work on a scale similar to the SCA.
• Preferred: degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Supports overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project objectives and policies.
• Provide administration and coordination of activities for design and construction of complex projects under guidance of a senior SCA Project Officer.
• Ensure quality and high standards of performance and compliance in design and construction by all consultants, vendors, etc.
• Make decisions to expedite timely completion of the construction process and manage phasing and scheduling of projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, local school personnel, and Senior Project Officers on project issues and review procedures.

Education

BA/BS with two years of relevant experience

Engineering/Construction Management degree (preferred)
