Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Project Manager based in New York, NY to support NYCHA modernization efforts. The role focuses on managing relocation-ready apartments, coordinating with NYCHA and program teams, and delivering projects on schedule and within safety standards.

The position requires a BA/BS with eight years of relevant experience or equivalent, and a valid U.S. driver’s license. This on-site role offers the opportunity to impact housing modernization across NYC.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with eight years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License is required.
• Excellent interpersonal communications and collaboration skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit relocation apartments to assess conditions and track progress.
• Follow NYCHA policies and program requirements for renovations.
• Develop and report renovation schedules and identify risks.
• Coordinate with NYCHA, AECOM PM, Property Management, and Development staff.
• Manage NYCHA Job Order Contract to ensure safe, on-schedule work.
• Perform quality assurance inspections and final acceptance procedures.
• Prepare daily/weekly status reports for the PM Team and NYCHA leadership.
• Coordinate project closeout, permits, inspections, and regulatory approvals.
