Job summary

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is seeking a Commercial Loan Collateral Specialist to review loan documentation, commit and verify collateral materials, and support the Post-Closing team.

The role focuses on lien perfection, compliance, and efficient processing in a fast-paced banking environment. Candidates should have 3+ years in commercial real estate or loan documentation, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Commercial real estate experience and/or documentation experience.
• Collateral Lien Perfection experience required.
• Technical training in computer systems, banking applications and loan documentation preferred.
• Excellent detail orientation, time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines; flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Image, commit and verify documents in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain knowledge of compliance requirements to review documents and create/document exceptions.
• Maintain file inventory lists for loans, transferred files, and paid charge-offs.
• Process Commercial Denials.
• Prepare, review, and file collateral documents to complete titled vehicle perfection
• Ensure timely lien perfection per state and federal requirements.
• Coordinate with county/state/third-party agencies to complete perfection.
• Monitor recording confirmations and follow up on rejected filings.
• Maintain collateral tracking systems and electronic lien filing systems.
• Verify receipt of recorded documents and original titles.
• Monitor department inboxes and process requests.
• Ensure loan adheres to Compliance and Audit standards.
• Maintain SLA in high-volume environment.
• Back-up to other positions in Post-Closing area.
• Complete special projects as required.
• Perform job in accordance with applicable industry laws and company policies.
