First Merchants Bank seeks a Commercial Client Support Specialist to assist the Commercial Banking team with loan requests and portfolio management. You will deliver high-impact service, resolving client needs with precision while following procedures to maintain compliance and minimize risk.

You will serve as a trusted partner, handling diverse tasks, supporting transactions and account servicing, and helping grow market share through reliable, proactive support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three (3) years administration, banking or financial services experience, or a combination with related education.
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Ability to obtain Notary Public Designation within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support Commercial Lending Requests with Specialist Expertise.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to commercial clients to ensure a positive client experience.
• Provide transaction support and account servicing for various non-monetary tasks, ensuring timely and compliant handling.
• Support portfolio management activities, identifying issues early and mitigating risk.
• Uphold regulatory and compliance standards and assist with audits.
• Participate in special projects as assigned by Management.
• Mitigate fraud risk through prompt response and coordination with clients and internal teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve banking and internal operational processes.
