Job summary

Dow Credit Union in Midland, MI seeks a Commercial Credit Analyst to support our commercial lending program, analyze credit requests, evaluate financial performance, and help business members throughout their lending journey.

You will collaborate with lending teams on underwriting, risk management, and relationship support, conducting annual reviews and monitoring covenants to ensure portfolio health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• Strong financial statement and tax return analysis skills.
• Knowledge of commercial underwriting and risk assessment principles.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and personal tax returns, financial statements, and credit reports to assess creditworthiness.
• Prepare comprehensive credit analyses and lending recommendations.
• Evaluate cash flow, collateral, loan structure, and repayment capacity.
• Conduct annual reviews and ongoing monitoring of business loan relationships.
• Monitor covenant compliance, collateral values, and portfolio performance.
• Assist with commercial real estate, business term loans, lines of credit, and business credit card underwriting.
• Support member inquiries and develop strong relationships with business members.
• Collaborate with Business Specialists and other teams to provide comprehensive financial solutions.
• Assist with audits, loan documentation reviews, and process improvements.
• Support compliance efforts and maintain regulatory and BSA/AML awareness.
