Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) in Orangeburg, SC seeks a Certified Medical Assistant I to support outpatient clinic operations. Under RN supervision, you will measure vital signs, interview patients, and assist in examinations and treatments to ensure high-quality care.

You will prepare treatment rooms, input data to medical records, and maintain competency standards. A high school diploma and accredited medical assisting program are required, with BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred.
• Must be certified through AMT/AAMA/NHA/MedCA as a CMA/CCMA/NAHP/NCCT.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Assists in examination and treatment of patients under physician direction.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
