Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support outpatient care. You will interview patients, measure vital signs, and document information in the medical record under physician supervision.

You will prepare examination rooms and maintain efficient workflows in a patient-centered environment. Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of an accredited medical assisting program, BLS certification, and CMA/CCMA certification eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• One year of patient care experience preferred.
• Must be certified through the AMT, AAMA, NHA, MedCA as CCMA/CMA/NAHP.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information in the medical record.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Communicates effectively in writing and verbally.
