Job summary

Howard University, within the Talent Acquisition framework, seeks a Clinical Trials Unit coordinator to support study participant coordination and enrollment activities. You will work closely with physicians and staff to ensure protocol compliance and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include screening candidates, coordinating scheduling, obtaining informed consent where applicable, and reporting to the Project Director and PI.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of clinical trials protocols.
• Competence in English communication, both written and spoken.
• Ability to maintain accurate data and source documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate study participants in the Clinical Trials Unit.
• Evaluate study candidates for eligibility.
• Review enrollment details with patient caretakers and obtain informed consent.
• Schedule tests and appointments within required timeframes.
• Transmit prescriptions to the research pharmacist with patient measurements.
• Identify abnormal labs and arrange repeat evaluations as per protocol.
• Complete case report forms and enter data electronically.
• Maintain shadow files for each participant.
• Respond to data inquiries promptly.
• Prepare Serious Adverse Event reports within deadlines.
• Report progress to the Project Director and PI.
• Perform other duties as instructed by PI and Project Director.
