Job summary

Neighborhood House, Inc. seeks a Temporary Center Coordinator to lead the Senior Center Aging Services program in Portland, OR. This full-time role oversees staff, volunteers and partnerships to enhance health and social engagement for seniors and adults with disabilities.

The assignment lasts about 12 weeks, with Weeks 1–3 at 40 hours per week and Weeks 4–12 at 20 hours per week, ending January 13, 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nursing, Health Gerontology or related field.
• 1 year of program coordination experience, preferably with seniors or disabled adults.
• 1 year of supervising employees is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and data entry/web search is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational programming for the Senior Center Aging Services program.
• Supervise staff, volunteers, and interns.
• Develop partnerships and coordinate with existing and new partners.
• Contribute to budget planning, reporting, and grant proposals.
• Coordinate senior transportation and related services.
• Ensure program goals and outcomes are documented and communicated to stakeholders.
