Senior Neighbors Walker Center is seeking a Program Coordinator to oversee operations, plan activities, and manage the meals program for older adults at the Walker Center in Walker, MI. The role involves coordinating staff and volunteers, collaborating with community partners, and ensuring high-quality services for center participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, recreational therapy, non‑profit management, or a related field preferred.
• ServSafe Manager Certified required within 90 days of hire date.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the senior centers.
• Design, schedule, and implement activities, including health, recreation, and educational classes, special programs, and support services.
• Provide information and referral support and facilitate access to Senior Neighbors’ services and community resources.
• Develop outreach activities to recruit and retain center participants.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and recognize staff and volunteers to support center activities and services.
• Maintain center records, compile reports, and assist with center newsletters.
