Job summary

Wyoming Department of Corrections is seeking a Caseworker at the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution (WMCI) to manage classification actions, parole summaries, progress reports, and work release plans for male inmates.

You will deliver evidence-based programs, produce case notes, and coordinate interventions while promoting a safe, supportive environment and preparing inmates for successful re-entry into society.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Services.
• 0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Casework) or 3-5 years substitution.
• FLSA: Non-Exempt (notes may apply)

Responsibilities

• Classifies patients/inmates and completes risk assessments for housing placement.
• Delivers evidence-based programs.
• Maintains individualized case planning, monitoring, and reporting.
• Manages casework duties including planning and documentation.
• Administers risk/needs assessments.
• Works with offenders to develop pro-social behaviors and re-entry prep.
• Organizes cognitive-behavioral programming and interventions.
• Monitors progress and updates case plans as needed.
• Ensures safety and contributes to a positive work environment.
