Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of progressive work experience in recreational therapy.
• Education & Experience substitution: 4-6 years in recreational therapy may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers the recreational program for the facility.
• Monitors safety and ensures staff and inmate safety during activities.
• Creates and manages schedules for daily, weekly, and special activities for inmates.
• Supervises staff and assists in hiring recreational activities specialists.
