Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Case Therapist I for the Adult Substance Program. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality social, emotional, and behavioral support within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include screening requests, crisis intervention, psychotherapy, case management, and coordinating care, with timely documentation. Requirements: Master’s in Behavioral Health, 1 year supervised experience, LSW or LPC, and IL driver’s license/insurance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Behavioral Health.
• One year supervised clinical experience in behavioral health.
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Valid State of Illinois driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and annual driving abstract.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate requests for service.
• Intervene, stabilize, and manage acute crisis situations and participate in ECASP on-call rotation.
• Provide psychotherapy and case management services as indicated within accepted standards.
• Assess and evaluate client needs, strengths, goals and resources.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team in reviewing cases and developing individual plans.
• Implement treatment through various therapeutic modalities.
• Consult with other center staff regarding problem assessment and treatment planning.
• Refer and link clients to other human services programs.
• Serve as a liaison to other agencies as needed.
• Create clinical documentation in support of services provided on a timely basis.
• Train other providers and non-providers in areas relating to service specialties.
