Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Case Therapist I for the Adult Substance Program in Illinois. This full-time position provides psychotherapy and case management to promote improved social, emotional, and behavioral functioning within an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Behavioral Health, at least one year supervised clinical experience, and a current IL driver’s license with insurance. LSW or LPC licensure is required to start.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Behavioral Health is required.
• One year supervised clinical experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Valid State of Illinois driver’s license, current auto liability insurance, and an annual driving abstract.
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) required.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate requests for service.
• Intervene, stabilize, and manage acute crisis situations as assigned; participate in ECASP on‑call rotation.
• Provide psychotherapy and case management services as indicated.
• Assess and evaluate client needs, strengths, goals and resources.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to review cases and develop individual plans.
• Implement treatment through various therapeutic modalities.
• Consult with center staff and service agencies on treatment planning.
• Refer and link clients to other human services programs.
• Create clinical documentation in support of services in a timely manner.
• Train other providers in areas relating to service specialties; collaborate as a team member.
