Job summary

Georgia Pines Community Service Board, a public, not-for-profit organization serving rural counties in South Georgia, is seeking a dedicated professional for the Mitchell County Mental Health Outpatient program. The role involves providing a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients and families, including intakes, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.

You will support clients in developing coping skills and coordinate services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years' experience in a social service-related position
• Or Bachelor's degree in a social service-related field
• Or One year at the lower level or position equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients/clients/consumers and their families.
• Conduct patient/client/consumer intakes and participate in treatment team planning.
• Provide crisis intervention and short term case management.
• Assist in dealing with personal and social problems and provide supportive counseling.
• Serve as a liaison for social services and perform case management duties.
