Swift Staffing seeks a Human and Social Service Assistant to provide case management for residents needing financial assistance in Towson, MD. This government-contract role is three to six months with possible extension and pays $17.00 per hour, on-site from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

The position requires supporting youth and adults and coordinating with programs. Responsibilities include assessing needs, guiding clients through services, processing grants, and maintaining

Qualificações

• At least one year of case management experience supporting youth and/or adults.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Counseling, or Public Health Administration is required.
• Proficient Microsoft Word and Excel, with a typing speed of at least 40 wpm.
• On-site work hours 8:00 am–4:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.

Responsabilidades

• Interviews children and families to assess strengths, needs, and receptiveness to services.
• Explains program policies and procedures to clients.
• Assists clients in obtaining supportive information and contacts other agencies to verify information.
• Assists in placing clients into other programs.
• Computes dollar amounts of grants based on established guidelines.
• Initiates procedures to grant, modify, deny or terminate clients' participation in program.
• Reviews clients' activities with professionals in the program.
• Maintains case records, case plans, and other required documentation per COMAR and local policies.
