Job summary

Radford University in Radford City, Virginia seeks a dedicated CAS Coach & Access Coordinator to lead the year-long coaching program that supports students with disabilities connected to the Center for Accessibility Services.

The role includes hiring and mentoring graduate students and peers, evaluating program effectiveness, and coordinating accommodations and disability-awareness initiatives on campus. 40 hours weekly, exempt, on-site with related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience with autism in educational/medical settings.
• Ability to read and interpret evaluations, IEPs, and 504 plans.
• Ability to set goals and provide coaching; event planning experience.
• Confidentiality and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Understanding of laws governing students with disabilities in higher education; prioritization; independent work and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develops, oversees and manages the academic year-long CAS Coaching Program.
• Hires, supervises, trains, mentors, and evaluates graduate students and peer mentors.
• Reviews documentation and recommends accommodations for caseload.
• Oversees the onsite Radford Ready: High Five and Thrive program.
• Educates students, faculty, staff, and community on disability awareness with a focus on neurodivergence.
• Contributes to departmental strategic planning and assessment.
