Job summary

ReMed, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner in Covington, LA, is seeking full-time Behavior Health Technicians to provide direct care in our residential programs for individuals with brain injuries. This role supports clients with behavioral challenges and participates in a team-based care model.

Responsibilities include implementing behavior training, modeling positive behavior, assisting with ADLs, transporting residents to appointments and activities, thorough documentation, and maintaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Implements facility wide behavioral training as well as individual behavioral protocols, completing the necessary documentation
• Models appropriate behavior provides positive reinforcement and corrective feedback on a daily basis
• Assists residents in ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living includes bathing, transfers, toileting and physical assistance), assists and participates in physical, vocational and recreational activities
• Transports residents to medical appointments, vocational, recreational, educational activities in the community
• Completes all daily needed documentation (i.e. behavioral data, token exchange, shift summaries, house charts, checklists, medication administration records, and incident reports)
• Completes all housekeeping chores (i.e. laundry, vacuuming, dusting, etc.)
