Job summary

Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is actively hiring an Occupational Therapist (PRN) to join our inpatient behavioral health team. You will help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and overall well-being while supporting their mental health treatment journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy (OT).
• Current Missouri OT license or eligibility.
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and complete an activity therapy assessment within 72 hours of admission.
• Aid in development of multidisciplinary treatment plans.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups and activities to improve coping, regulation, social skills, and independence.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge recommendations.
• Collaborate with treatment teams to support positive outcomes and educate families.
