Career Links seeks a dedicated Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) to support students across the Anoka-Hennepin School District. This on-site, full-time role focuses on implementing positive behavior supports, conducting FBAs, and collaborating with educational teams to promote student success.

The ideal candidate has experience with students with behavioral challenges, FBAs, and developing effective intervention strategies that promote positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• BCBA certification or MN SPED license at Tier 3 or 4 is required.
• Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
• Experience implementing Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to consult with school teams to develop and implement behavior intervention strategies.
• Ability to develop behavior support recommendations and support IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior support recommendations.
• Implement PBIS to improve student outcomes.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to ensure consistent behavioral programming.
• Provide coaching, consultation, and training to school staff on behavioral strategies.
• Analyze behavioral data to guide programming decisions and student interventions.
• Travel between 3–4 assigned school sites as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
