The Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) conducts functional assessments and develops behavior intervention plans to treat problem behavior. Responsibilities also include conducting/overseeing staff training, collecting and analyzing behavior data, maintaining clinical paperwork as regulated by state, assisting in development of skill acquisition goals and reporting case progress to supervisors.
Master’s Degree in an applied field of psychology (related fields may be considered). BCBA preferred but not required. 5+ years’ experience developing and overseeing behavior intervention plans for individuals with disabilities and significant problem behavior. Knowledge of ABA with documented training in assessment techniques and behavior intervention planning.
