Job summary

Detroit Premier Academy is seeking an Achievement and Behavior Support Specialist to provide non-instructional services for students whose behavior affects learning. You will work with social workers or counselors to monitor progress, support behavior plans, and communicate with families.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, data-driven interventions, and ongoing professional development to improve student outcomes and attendance across the school.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma; Associate's degree preferred.
• State certification and qualification requirements must be met.
• Decisive leadership and school culture development skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-instructional services for a caseload of Title I students whose behaviors interfere with academic growth.
• Daily monitoring of student achievement and learner behaviors with certified staff support.
• Daily contacts with students and conferencing, in-class assistance, and data monitoring.
• Develop ongoing progress reporting for parents/guardians.
