The role requires MSW and LMSW licensure in Michigan, MOECS certification, and collaboration with teachers, families, and community resources to promote student success and safe learning environments.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates must hold valid licensure for the state they are working in.
• MSW degree and LMSW licensure.
• LMSW licensure issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) and MOECS credential.
• MOECS School Social Work certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and individual counseling to special education students per IEPs and monitor goals.
• Provide counseling to general education students and monitor responses to interventions.
• Develop and monitor behavior intervention plans with teachers.
• Complete psychosocial assessments to assist in determining services.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and communicate results to teams.
• Complete risk assessments on students for school social work services.
• Establish relationships with students and parents and participate in school planning.
• Identify community resources and referrals to support student success.
• Provide staff consultation on behavioral-emotional-environmental issues.
• Provide crisis intervention services.
• Maintain state-required clinical records and reports.
