Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Seattle is hiring full-time BASE leads to guide elementary age participants in after-school enrichment programs at Cascade View Elementary and Timber Ridge Elementary. You will support the program supervisor and promote teamwork, SEL, and skill-building in a safe, engaging setting.

Roles include leading activities across sports, arts, STEM, and recess-based Play Everyday support. Full-time onsite work with competitive benefits and MMR vaccination compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience with children (camps, child care, tutoring, nannying).
• Ability to model YMCA values: caring, respect, responsibility and honesty.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Must complete STARS training and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
• Supervise children to ensure safety and positive experiences.
• Guide staff/volunteers assisting activities.
• Communicate with parents/guardians daily and professionally.
• Follow YMCA policies including safety and emergency procedures.
• Maintain site appearance, décor and cleanliness.
• Assist with check-in/out for parents.
• Support school-based Play Everyday Program as needed.
