Job summary

Related Affordable is seeking an Assistant Community Manager for our 249-unit affordable housing community in Chicago, IL. You will support the Community Manager with daily operations, leasing coordination, resident relations, and maintaining compliance with affordable housing regulations.

We offer an hourly rate of $24.00–$25.00, a yearly bonus opportunity, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and paid time off. This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of property management experience (preferably in affordable housing).
• Familiarity with affordable housing programs and compliance requirements.
• Experience with RealPage, OneSite, and JD Edwards (or similar software).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leasing activities, marketing efforts, resident recertifications, and admin duties.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, rent collections, and delinquencies.
• Address resident concerns and organize resident appreciation events.
• Ensure adherence to affordable housing program requirements and support audits.
• Collaborate with maintenance for timely property upkeep and safety.
• Prepare reports to monitor community performance.
