Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or higher in related field preferred with experience/training.
• Degree or certification related to behavior management with at least 6 months experience with children with delays preferred.
• Background in working with children with disabilities preferred.
• Familiarity with reading and understanding IEPs preferred.
• Ability to manage complex/varied tasks and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent personal and communication skills with school personnel and community.

Responsibilities

• Assist assigned student(s) to implement IEP goals and objectives under supervision.
• Use developmentally appropriate strategies and materials to facilitate learning.
• Provide one-to-one or small group instruction as needed per IEP and under supervision.
• Collect student data for reporting as determined by staff.
• Assist with supervising tests and make-up work per supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and families.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living when required by IEP and disability.
