Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Degree or certification related to behavior management with experience working with children with developmental delays preferred.
  • Background in working with children with disabilities preferred.
  • Familiarity with reading and understanding IEPs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Works with assigned student(s) to implement IEP goals in the school setting.
  • Use developmentally appropriate strategies and materials to facilitate learning.
  • May provide one-to-one or small group instruction as determined by the IEP and team.
  • Collect student data for reporting as required by the team.
  • Maintain confidentiality of students and families.
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living as required by IEP.
