Related Affordable is seeking a seasoned Community Manager to lead our Richmond affordable housing community. You will direct daily operations, oversee a dedicated team, ensure compliance with housing programs, and drive resident satisfaction in a well-maintained, supportive environment.

Responsibilities include leasing, marketing, finances, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver exceptional living experiences while maintaining regulatory standards and community safety.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of property management experience.
• Expertise in affordable housing programs (HUD Project-Based Section 8, LIHTC, etc).
• Strong financial acumen, including budget management and accounting principles.
• Experience with RealPage, OneSite, and JD Edwards (or similar property management software).
• Proven leadership skills with direct supervisory experience.
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for creating great living experiences.
• Demonstrates accountability and reliability with ownership of projects and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• :Lead and supervise office and maintenance staff.
• Oversee leasing, marketing, recertifications, and administration.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, rent collection, delinquency.
• Foster resident relations and handle tenant/landlord issues.
• Maintain compliance with affordable housing programs (HDC, HCR, HUD, LIHTC).
• Supervise property maintenance and service quality.
• Develop and manage the property’s budget.
• Prepare reports and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead special projects to enhance the community.
