Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist for acute care to provide comprehensive evaluations of cognitive-communication and swallowing function, and deliver goal-oriented treatment to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires CCC-SLP eligibility, Kansas licensure, and BLS within 90 days. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, supervise CFY candidates, and contribute to patient education and staff training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ASHA-accredited program meeting CCC-SLP practicum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of cognitive-communication and swallowing function.
• Develop goal-oriented treatment plans to maximize communication and/or swallowing potential.
• Review referrals and medical records to determine treatment needs.
• Plan, implement and adjust treatment programs based on data.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families in home programs and follow-up.
• Supervise CFY candidates and supervise graduate fieldwork.
• Contribute to staff education and training on dysphagia and speech topics.
