Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to perform comprehensive evaluations of cognitive and swallowing function and deliver goal-oriented therapy for acute care patients. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires CCC-SLP eligibility, Kansas licensure, and collaborative patient care, including supervision of fellowship-year candidates and ongoing professional education.

Qualifications

• Must be graduates of an ASHA-accepted program with CCC-SLP prerequisites.
• Eligible for ASHA CCC-SLP certification or in fellowship year.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Kansas or eligible for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluations of cognitive/communication skills and swallowing function.
• Develop goal-oriented treatment plans to facilitate maximum communication and swallowing potential.
• Review referrals and medical records to plan treatment.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to plan and implement interventions.
• Document progress in patient charts and electronic systems; supervise CFY candidates.
• Educate patients and families; participate in training for medical staff.
