Job summary

Lifepoint Behavioral Health seeks an Activities Therapy Coordinator to support clinical, operational, and administrative excellence in our behavioral health program for seniors. You will participate in assessment-driven activity planning and implement diverse, engaging therapies under physician guidance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with psychiatrists, therapists and nursing staff, with a focus on measurable outcomes and patient well-being, in a hospital-like setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy or related field.
• Current CTRS, MT-BC, or ART therapist licenses as required by state regulations.
• CPR and de-escalation certifications or able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in psychiatric health care settings with relevant populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs using cultural, religious and disability considerations.
• Document responses to interventions and track progress regularly.
• Contribute to assessment workload balance among therapists.
• Develop initial and ongoing treatment programs per orders.
• Create care plans with measurable goals and interventions.
• Provide activities aligned with treatment plans and patient needs.
• Deliver quality programming to support patient objectives.
• Offer guidance to clinical staff on activity-related groups.
