Lighthouse in Mill Basin, NY, is seeking a passionate Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism under BCBA supervision. You will implement evidence-based interventions and help clients improve communication, social, and adaptive skills in a supportive setting.

This role emphasizes collaboration with families and an interdisciplinary team, data collection, progress tracking, and ongoing professional development.

Formación

• Patient, empathetic with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to follow ABA therapy protocols and document progress accurately.
• Comfortable working with children on the autism spectrum and collaborating with BCBA.

Responsabilidades

• Implement ABA therapy techniques under supervision of a BCBA.
• Provide one-on-one sessions following individualized treatment plans.
• Teach and reinforce social, communication, and behavioral skills.
• Foster positive therapeutic relationships and promote client independence.
• Conduct assessments, collect data, and track progress to ensure outcomes.
• Collaborate with BCBA and interdisciplinary team to adjust plans as needed.
• Communicate with parents/caregivers about goals, progress, and strategies.
• Maintain detailed session notes and data records.
• Participate in ongoing ABA training and professional development.
