Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with endorsements for the subject area being taught.
• Bachelor's degree is required; master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience.
• Evidence of meeting highly qualified requirements as defined by No Child Left Behind.
• Ability to teach and develop curriculum for assigned grade level(s).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans aligned with Michigan objectives and school goals.
• Differentiate instruction using relevant technology.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Help students who are behind to learn content.
• Collaborate with other teachers to improve learning quality.
• Communicate with students and parents about progress and needs.
• Establish clear objectives for all activities.
• Maintain classroom discipline and adherence to school policies.
• Use formative, summative, and interim assessments to inform daily instruction.
• Create classroom assessments measuring student proficiency per Michigan standards.
