Qualifications

• Valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement(s) for the subject area(s).
• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience.
• Must meet highly qualified requirements under No Child Left Behind.
• Ability to teach and develop curriculum for assigned grade level(s).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with Michigan objectives and school goals.
• Use technology to support and differentiate instruction.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Assist students who are behind or struggling to learn content.
• Collaborate with other teachers to improve learning outcomes.
• Communicate with students and parents regarding progress and needs.
• Establish clear learning objectives for all activities.
• Manage classroom behavior in line with school rules and procedures.
• Utilize formative, summative, and interim assessments to inform instruction.
• Create classroom assessments that measure student proficiency per Michigan standards.
