• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Provide one of: Associate degree, Paraeducator Assessment, or two years of higher education (No Child Left Behind).

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated staff with instructional and non-instructional activities for mainstream special education students.
• Instruct students individually or in small groups and monitor progress.
• Maintain records and supervise student behavior and safety.
• Prepare and modify materials under guidance of certificated staff.
• Communicate with staff, parents, and the community regarding student progress.
