Job summary

School District 622 - North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale is seeking a 1:1 Special Ed Paraeducator to support instructional activities from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and ability to assist students with disabilities and behavioral management. Starting ASAP with pay at $24.54 per hour and benefits per the labor agreement for paraeducators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with one of the listed continued education options.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and restrain students in emergencies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills were demonstrated.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Completion of any required training for the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction by providing support and practical training to students across subjects.
• Support the teacher by implementing instructional plans and adapting/modifying curriculum as directed.
• Prepare class schedules and organize learning materials.
• Assist with classroom activities and daily operations.
