Job summary

BDO USA seeks an Experienced Associate in the Industry Specialty Services Group to advise nonprofit and grantmaker organizations. You will apply organizational strategy, business process improvement, and technology transformation to support mission-driven clients across multiple sectors and geographic reach.

The team is growth-oriented, partnering with organizations to improve operations, sharpen strategy, modernize technology, and drive change.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required for consideration.
1+ year of management consulting or advisory experience preferred in nonprofit contexts.
Strong communication, analytical, and project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

Execute defined tasks in advisory engagements including strategy, process improvement, and technology transformation.
Research and gather data to inform client policies and operating models.
Document current-state processes and organizational structures through interviews and materials review.
Analyze client data and present findings in structured formats (spreadsheets, maps, tables).
Prepare engagement components (reports, slides, memos) for senior review.
Capture meeting notes and maintain engagement documentation including version control.
Support technology solution assessment by compiling requirements and vendor options.
Assist change enablement with training materials and adoption tracking.
Prepare inputs for performance indicators, dashboards, and reporting.
Support financial modeling by populating templates and validating data.
