Job summary

BDO USA's Industry Specialty Services Group seeks an Experienced Associate to deliver advisory services for nonprofit and grantmaker organizations, leveraging organizational strategy, process improvement, and technology transformation. You will contribute to project delivery, conduct research, document current-state processes, support dashboards, and assist in change management, with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• One year+ experience in management consulting, advisory, organizational strategy, process improvement, or tech transformation, preferably for nonprofits.
• Bachelor’s degree required or higher in a related field; MBA/MPA preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and able to learn dashboards/tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% to serve clients.

Responsibilities

• Execute tasks within advisory engagements, including strategy, processes, and technology transformation.
• Conduct research and data collection to inform client policies and operating models.
• Document current-state processes and organizational structures from interviews and materials.
• Analyze data and present findings in structured formats (spreadsheets, maps, summaries).
• Prepare drafts of reports, slides, memos, and correspondence for senior review.
• Support change management through communications and training materials.
• Assist in financial modeling and dashboard development as needed.
• Coordinate project logistics and track timelines/deliverables with the team.
