Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Experienced Associate in the Industry Specialty Services Group to advise nonprofit and grantmaker organizations. You’ll apply organizational strategy, business transformation, and process improvement to help mission-driven clients across diverse sectors.

The role emphasizes collaboration with senior teams, data-driven analysis, and practical change management. Travel up to 20% is required; strong communication and project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/related field; MBA/MPA preferred.
• 1+ years of management consulting/advisory experience, ideally nonprofit sector.
• Strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience with data analysis, process improvement, and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

• Execute tasks within engagements: strategy, process improvement, technology transformation, change management.
• Research and gather data to inform client policies and operating models.
• Document current-state processes and org structures; interview stakeholders.
• Analyze data and present findings in structured formats (spreadsheets, maps, tables).
• Draft engagement components and reports for senior review.
• Capture meeting notes and maintain engagement documentation.
• Assist in evaluating technology solutions and vendor options.
• Support change enablement through training materials and communications.
• Develop indicators, dashboards, and reports; assist financial modeling.
