The East Texas Food Bank seeks an Impact Partner Specialist to directly support community partners with formal partnerships in the ETFB region. Reporting to the Impact Partner Manager, you will oversee agency setup, compliance, and service aspects of each partnership.

You will screen agencies, conduct site visits, and assist with orientation and ongoing training while maintaining databases and collaborating with ETFB staff.

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ progressive experience in non-profit or related sector.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use office software and learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain day-to-day relations between community partners and ETFB.
  • Screen potential agencies for partnership and review mission.
  • Complete applications, conduct site visits, and develop partnership recommendations.
  • Update agency databases with information from inspections and visits.
  • Assist with agency orientation and ongoing training.
  • Provide support, feedback, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Plan Annual Agency Conference.
  • Travel up to 40% across a 26-county area.

POSITION SUMMARYThe Impact Partner Specialist works with and directly supports community partners within a geographic region who have a formalized partnership with the ETFB. Reporting to the Impact Partner Manager, the Impact Partner Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the relationships of partner agencies within their service region with the food bank including: agency setup, compliance, and all service aspects of the partnership.Impact Partner Specialist provides support and assists partner agencies with succession planning. The Impact Partner Specialist visits with agencies assigned to them regularly, evaluating opportunities for growth or increased sustainability.POSITION GOALSMaintains and oversees the day-to-day relations between community partners and agencies and the food bankScreens potential agencies and their personnel for ETFB partnership. Review agency’s mission, oversees completion of all applications and forms, conduct site visits, and develops recommendation for partnership.Assist with Orientation and ongoing training of agenciesUpdate the agency databases (Salesforce and CERES) with current information collected from initial inspections and site visits.Ensure community partners and partner agencies are being monitored routinely for program complianceReceive incoming calls from neighbors in need of food and potential agencies desiring to partner in food relief efforts.Provide assistance and constructive feedback to partners while maintaining a high level of customer service.Initial setup of agencies and shoppers in CERES (internal database)Maintains timely communication with partners and other ETFB staff membersHelp organize and plan the Annual Agency Conference.Informs the Impact Partner Manager of issues regarding partner agenciesMaintain quality relationship with the Texas Department of Agriculture.Stay up to date to all program changes and requirements.Ensure program compliance with state and federal regulations on an administrative and site level.Identifies opportunities for partner agency education geared toward improving efficiencies at the agency or long-term sustainability.Evaluate ongoing opportunities to react to and close the hunger gap in designated service area.Work collaboratively with Retail Store ProgramLeverage data tools to inform decision making regards partner growthAll other duties as assignedWORKING CONDITIONSThis position consists of an office environment and working in a warehouse:Office environment: requires the use of general office equipment such as telephone, computers, calculators and copiers. This role also involves periods of sitting, standing and bending as well as walking in the warehouse.This position requires about 40% travel throughout our 26-county service area.Education and Experience5 years’ progressive work experience in non-profit industry or similar industryHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.Skills and AbilitiesMust have valid driver’s license, motor vehicle insurance and acceptable drivers record.Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills, bilingual English and Spanish a plus.Technologically proficient. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn new software systems. Specific knowledge of client databases & inventory software a plus.Ability to work with attention to detail, accuracy, and meeting deadlines.Experience working with governmental agencies and other non-profits a plus.Must be a self-starter and highly motivated
