Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County is seeking an Impact Leader I, Teen Services Assistant to serve as a positive role model and activity leader for middle and high school students. You will deliver engaging, outcome-driven programs, supervise after-school activities and support youth readiness workshops.

Part-time, non-exempt role with up to 25 hours weekly, mostly weekdays 12:00pm–6:00pm; some events may extend.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months to one year tutoring middle school students in core subjects.
• Experience contributing to implementing curriculum and programming for youth.
• Ability to demonstrate classroom management skills.
• Tech savvy with Google Workspace and Internet productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities and assist with planning, evaluating programming.
• Assist youth in homework after school supervision.
• Facilitate middle and high school readiness workshops for teens.
• Provide tutorial support in math, science, literacy.
• Track program participation and outcomes and suggest changes.
• Address youth behavior with positive discipline, ensuring safety.
• Maintain a safe, positive Teen Pathway Center environment.
• Lead workforce readiness workshops and BGCA programming.
• Conduct monthly case management and ensure compliance.
