BGCMC seeks an Impact Leader I, Teen Services Assistant in Seaside, CA to mentor middle and high school students. You will supervise after-school activities, run readiness workshops, provide tutoring in math, science and literacy, and track participation and outcomes.
The role emphasizes positive discipline, safety, and a supportive Teen Pathway Center environment with 100-150 youths daily. The position is part-time, non-exempt, with up to 25 hours per week and afternoon scheduling; bilingual
Work Schedule: Part-time – non-exempt, generally scheduled up to 25 hours per week, Mondays – Friday, between 12:00pm and 6:00pm. Training, Teen Nights and youth workshops may be scheduled outside of this time.

Working under the direction of their assigned Supervisor, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County (BGCMC) Impact Leader I, Teen Services Assistant plays an essential role in helping youth succeed as they directly serve as positive role models, mentors and activity leaders to diverse youth delivering an engaging, age-appropriate and outcome-driven program with specialized focus on middle school and high school readiness. Further, the BGCMC Impact Leader I, Teen Services Assistant is responsible for contributing to the following key elements of positive youth development:
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following traits and skills.
Pay rate begins at $20.46 - $21.50 per hour, and is based on experience. Professional development opportunities are available contingent upon funding and approval. This position is classified as non-exempt and as such is eligible for the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
