Job summary

The Ford Foundation seeks a dynamic Program Associate to join the Mission Investments team in New York City. You will lead research, analysis, and coordination for the active portfolio, helping advance a shared strategy that leverages both grantmaking and investments for impact.

Reporting to the Senior Program Officer, you will serve as a conduit for learning across the team and the foundation, working at the intersection of philanthropy and impact investing for an early-to-mid-career

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of relevant work experience in program support for social development.
• College degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong data collection, review, analysis, and reporting skills.
• Proficient with software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and databases.
• Excellent organization, communications, and client-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Review grant proposals and prepare analyses aligned with strategic goals and discussions with the Senior Program Officer and team.
• Engage with prospective grantees and investees and make follow-up recommendations.
• Help plan and manage webinars and activities for grantees and investees on topics of shared interest.
• Coordinate grant and investee diligence and coordination with other funders and investors.
• Conduct research for the SPO, Director and team using external/internal resources and summarize findings.
• Support data analysis and identify trends for reporting and learning.
• Plan regular grantee check-ins and coordinate with staff on convenings and site visits.
• Prepare background research and meeting materials for convenings and site visits.
• Plan and help execute learning sessions and knowledge sharing for FF colleagues and grantees.
