Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Manager for the Nonprofit and Grantmaker Advisory team within the Industry Specialty Services Group. You will guide nonprofits and funders through modernization, ERP upgrades, and analytics to improve financial and programmatic reporting and sustainability.

You will supervise staff, manage client engagements, and drive transformation across finance, grants, budgeting, and operational processes, while advising on AI adoption and risk management.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of demonstrated consulting, nonprofit finance, operations, technology, or enterprise transformation experience, including leading ERP or financial system implementations with nonprofits.
• Three (3) or more years of experience with accounting systems and nonprofit accounting principles; supervisory/management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains client relationships with foundations, government, partners, and direct service providers.
• Leads enterprise transformation engagements focused on operational excellence and financial sustainability for nonprofits.
• Manages ERP, grants management, budgeting, CRM, and BI implementations.
• Conducts current-state assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and digital transformation.
• Designs future-state business processes across finance, grants, procurement, budgeting, and reporting.
• Oversees governance, data migration, and automation initiatives; advises on AI governance and security.
