Job summary

Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation (MLAC) is seeking an Evaluation and Monitoring Associate to join our Evaluation, Engagement and Culture team in a hybrid work arrangement. The role supports monitoring, peer review, fellowships, and culture initiatives for MLAC-funded legal aid programs.

The position reports to the Director of Program Evaluation and Culture and involves coordinating meetings, preparing documents, tracking deadlines, and liaising with staff and grantees.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degrees.
• Ability to learn fast and proactive in problem solving
• Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation, reporting and filing
• Experience in calendar and schedule management
• Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook), Google Workspace, and scheduling tools
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for professional correspondence internally and externally to our grantee organizations
• Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects effectively, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a hybrid team environment
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
• Commitment to engagement, culture, and inclusion in the workplace
• Demonstrated interest in serving the non-profit and social justice sectors

Responsibilities

• Support the management of the Evaluation, Engagement, and Culture Department.
• Provide administrative support to the Director of Program Evaluation and Culture with contract agreements and memorandums of understanding for Fellowship and Peer Review processes.
• Support researching, documenting, and convening meetings associated with evaluation and monitoring initiatives.
• Support scheduling, preparation and coordination of monitoring visits, evaluation of organizations, and Fellowship program activities.
• Collaborate with fiscal, data, technology, communications for information gathering to support monitoring and evaluating MLAC-funded organizations.
• Coordinate aspects of client board member involvement in NLADA scholarship award process.
• Act as liaison between the Director of Program Evaluation and Culture and stakeholders for consistent communication.
• Ensure timely completion of projects within the department.
• Collaborate with other departments on projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Program Evaluation and Culture or the Executive Director.
