Job summary

Alpha seeks a Youth Development Director to coach Guides and students, using data-driven methods to raise outcomes for K‑3 learners. You will lead workshops, drive coaching sessions, and develop scalable playbooks to elevate performance across the team, shaping future Guides.

In this in‑person role at New York City or Miami campuses, you’ll mentor Guides, deliver feedback, and document best practices to expand Alpha’s impact on student growth and life skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, Child Development, or a related field.
• At least 5 years working with elementary‑aged children (ages 5‑9).
• Experience leading teams of five or more people, including performance management and hiring decisions.
• Experience building, launching, or growing a program, school, team, or initiative.
• Demonstrated success using data and measurable outcomes to improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Coach Guides and students using performance data and direct feedback to achieve measurable improvements.
• Facilitate workshops for K‑3 students focused on life skills.
• Lead one‑on‑one and small‑group coaching to connect motivation with academic growth.
• Build and refine coaching playbooks to raise performance.
• Train and mentor Guides while modeling exceptional coaching daily.
