Job summary

Resources for Human Development seeks a compassionate Program Specialist for its Missouri Shared Living program in Saint Peters, MO. The role focuses on coordinating care, ISPs, documentation, and regulatory compliance to support individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism.

You will work with families, staff, and providers to advocate for needs, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality services while maintaining confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or above from an accredited college or university with at least 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disability or autism
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with at least 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disability or autism
• Associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours with at least 4 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disability or autism
• High school diploma and at least 6 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disability or autism

Responsibilities

• Support the health, safety, growth, and overall well-being of individuals in the Shared Living program
• Coordinate and monitor ISPs and ensure goals and outcomes are implemented
• Maintain accurate documentation including medical records, assessments, ISPs, progress notes, and incident reports
• Schedule medical, dental, psychiatric, and psychological services per requirements
• Advocate for individuals and collaborate with families, coordinators, providers, and team
• Train and supervise direct care staff and Independent Contractors on ISPs and documentation
• Assist with incident reporting, follow-up, and regulatory requirements
• Help coordinate SSI, food benefits, representative payee matters, and housing benefits
• Monitor program sites for safety, upkeep, and compliance
• Track staff training to meet state and funder regulations
• Respond to crises and report safety concerns to leadership
• Assist with transitioning individuals into or out of the program and opening new homes

Education

Master’s degree or above

Bachelor’s degree
